Overview
As part of the hiring process for the 'Head of Design' role at a tech start-up I was given a brief and 3 days to answer it. The main goal being to showcase how I approach projects, my process and technical ability. The key themes from the brief were - ease of use, quick access to relevant information, and personalisation.

The Challenge
There were 3 suggested target audiences in the brief choosing to focus on the 'Visitor' but still keeping the 'Staff' and 'Curators' in mind as I envisaged a one product ecosystem that would adapt to all audiences. Almost all museums have unique layouts, meaning as visitors we have to learn how to navigate each time we visit a new one.
The Solution
After creating some assumptions, ideas, a lean canvas, and ‘how might we statements’ I began to focus on 3 main areas. Wayfinding, making reservations and interacting with exhibits stood out to me as major pain points to solve.
The Result
Muze, a smartwatch app concept that helps you find what you need in any museum. The presentation went smoothly and I received positive feedback, especially from the CTO. To develop this concept further I would dive deeper into the other audiences and explore how their experiences overlap.
